How The Glue Group takes technology brands from local to global

February 3, 2026

In 2018, Trust Panda launched from a single retail outlet in Northern Sydney. At the time, hardware security keys were a niche product. Passkeys were not yet a mainstream concept. The market for phishing-resistant authentication outside of large enterprise was largely untested.

Six years later, Trust Panda operates four region-specific e-commerce platforms serving retail and SMB clients across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the United States. A global team of more than 20 Yubico-certified staff supports those markets. And a dedicated enterprise platform coordinates direct-to-employee hardware deployments for clients operating across 50 countries, fulfilled from five global distribution locations.

That journey - from a single shopfront to a 50-country enterprise operation - is the clearest illustration of what The Glue Group actually does. We do not simply hold equity in technology businesses. We build the infrastructure that allows them to scale.

The problem most technology brands face

The brands that approach The Glue Group have typically already demonstrated product-market fit in a major market - most commonly the United States or Europe. They have customers. They have revenue. They have a product that works.

What they do not have is a reliable path to replicating that success in new regions. Expanding into Asia-Pacific, for instance, means navigating local import restrictions and compliance requirements, building or contracting logistics and fulfilment infrastructure, establishing a local digital and retail presence, and doing all of this across time zones that make real-time operational support from a home-market team genuinely difficult.

Most international brands that attempt this without a local operating partner underestimate the complexity. They invest in a market entry, encounter friction they did not anticipate, and either retreat or continue operating at a scale that never justifies the effort.

The brands that succeed in new markets are rarely the ones with the best product alone. They are the ones with the right operational partner - someone who has already solved the local compliance, logistics, and go-to-market problems that slow everyone else down.

What The Glue Group brings to a new market entry

The capabilities The Glue Group has built over six years of operating across multiple markets are not theoretical. They exist because we needed them ourselves. Every piece of infrastructure that supports Trust Panda's global enterprise deployments - or that gets WHOOSH! tech hygiene products to retail and business customers across Australia and New Zealand - was built to solve a real operational problem.

E-commerce and digital presence
Region-specific storefronts built on proven platforms, localised for language, currency, compliance, and customer expectations. We do not transplant a home-market site and hope it works.

Logistics and fulfilment
A distribution centre network across four countries with a partner network extending into India. International shipping and customs experience across dozens of product categories and regulatory environments.

Enterprise sales and deployment
A dedicated enterprise platform coordinating direct-to-employee fulfilment across 50 countries, built for the complexity of large-scale technology deployments to distributed workforces.

Compliance and regulatory navigation
Import restrictions, local product compliance, privacy law, and tax registration requirements vary significantly by market. We have navigated these across Australia, New Zealand, the EU, and the United States - and carry that institutional knowledge into every new engagement.

Marketing and channel development
Go-to-market strategy, digital marketing, SEO, content, and channel partner development in each region. We do not hand a brand a market and walk away — we build the demand engine with them.

Technology development
Through Illuminance Labs, we have a European-based development team able to support platform builds, integrations, and custom solutions for brands operating across multiple regions.

Two models, one capability set

The Glue Group operates two distinct models depending on thenature of the brand relationship. In the case of Trust Panda, we built thebrand ourselves - identifying the market opportunity, establishing the Yubicopartnership, and constructing the entire go-to-market operation from the groundup. In the case of WHOOSH Australia, we serve as the master distributor for aglobally recognised tech hygiene brand, deploying the same logistics, digitalcommerce, and channel development capability to deliver their product to theAustralian and New Zealand market.

Both models draw on the same underlying infrastructure. Thedifference is the starting point - not the destination. Whether a brand isbeing built from scratch or being introduced to a new region, the operationalchallenge is broadly the same: build a presence, build demand, build the supplychain to support it, and build the customer relationships that sustain it.

The verticals we focus on

The Glue Group is not a generalist distribution business. We focus on technology-aligned and assistive technology brands - categories where we have genuine domain expertise, established market relationships, and a track record of successful market entry and scaling.

Technology-aligned brands benefit from our enterprise sales capability, our cybersecurity and IT services relationships through Trust Panda and Tech Dot, and our understanding of how technology products are evaluated and purchased by procurement teams at scale. Assistive technology brands benefit from our deep knowledge of the NDIS and education sectors through Assistive Tech, our established therapist and educator relationships, and our experience navigating the compliance and funding frameworks that govern this market.

If your brand has demonstrated traction in a major market and you are evaluating partners for regional expansion - particularly across Asia-Pacific, Europe, or the United States - we would welcome a direct conversation.
